Seasonal Retreats
Presently, we have 6 all-weather rooms with private/semi-private baths, located in and around the Farm House. This could be the ideal set-up for numerous retreats/convocations of:
- writers

- quilters
- hikers
- painters
- philosophisers
- board or card game players
- murder mystery buffs
- birders
- hikers
- cooking enthusiasts
- slow food advocates
- musicians
- log splitters

- neighbors
- high school or college chums
- etc.
Whether raining or snowing, cold or blustery, each room has heat (gas or wood), and isn't far from the living room, the lodge or the library... all social gathering points. Let us know if you'd like to plan a unique week-end or week long stay, any time from the middle of October through March.
The Gillette Brothers on the Farm! Saturday, July 31, 2010
Guy and Pipp Gillette are real-life Texas cattle folk, who also run a live music venue, The Camp St. Cafe & Store, in Crockett, Texas, occasionally demonstrate chuckwagon cooking, have won numerous awards from varying Western Music organizations, and have traveled the world as traditional cowboy music emissaries.
Join us for an evening of delightful entertainment under the stars, on the lawn at Emandal. Feel free to come in the afternoon for swimming... bring a picnic supper to enjoy with your friends.
Since this will be the day between camp sessions, the only overnight possibilities would be camping.

Cowboy Poetry at Emandal! October 10, 2009 (still working on 2010/TBA soon!)
Singer-songwriter Dave Stamey (davestamey.com) and Poet Susan Parker (susanparkerpoet.com) will combine forces for a wonderful evening of words and music outside on the lawn under the apple trees. Put that together with a luscious afternoon fall swim in the Eel River, delicious farm raised food by both Kashaya and Tamara Adams (and staff, assuredly!), and you have a most memorable day in the country! Spend the night in one of our cabins, then enjoy farm-roasted coffee, our own ham or bacon, eggs, and other breakfast treats.... A walk in the woods before your trip back home.... What a time!

- Dinner and concert: $30/person
