2024 Emandal Family Camp Conditions for Enrollment

The undersigned, (form to be acknowledged at bottom of page) his/her family and guests agree to abide by the rules and regulations set by Emandal for the health, safety and welfare of all Campers. These rules and regulations include, but are not limited to: 

  • Illegal Substances – Emandal prohibits any illegal substances on its property. 

  • Smoking – Smoking of any kind is strongly discouraged. Emandal asks any guests who smoke to properly and safely dispose of butts in trash receptacles for aesthetic and fire safety reasons. 

  • Alcohol – Emandal does not serve alcohol, however, guests may bring their own for consumption in the camp kitchen/eating areas as well as their own group spaces and/or house and environs.  Emandal asks that guests drink responsibly and are considerate of other guests. 

  • Inherent Farm Risks - Emandal is a working farm and rustic camp. There are numerous associated inherent dangers and risks, such as poison oak, sharp rocks, biting insects, farm machinery, farm animals, wild animals, a river, rattlesnakes, etc. All guests must utilize common sense and follow appropriate safety precautions and Emandal policies to avoid injuries, including but not limited to abiding by all “off-limits” area designations and rules. 

  • River: For swimming at own risk. The river is not posted, guarded, nor designated a safe area. No diving allowed. 

  • Lake: For fishing only. Swimming is not allowed in the lake. The lake is not posted, guarded, nor designated a safe area. 

  • Pets – No pets of any kind are allowed. 

  • Recycling, Garbage and Food Scrap Disposal: Emandal asks that all guests comply with its recycling, garbage and food scrap disposal procedures which are as follows: 

    • Cabin and Farmhouse areas: All recyclable and non-recyclable, non-food items will be placed in designated bins. 

    • Cabin, Dining Hall, Outdoor Eating areas: All food scraps will be deposited into the designated “pig buckets.” 

    • Pack it In, Pack it Out: Emandal does not have handy garbage pick-up. Please limit the packaging/plastic/garbage you bring to the farm.  

  • Emandal is not responsible for clothing or personal belongings lost or damaged. 

  • Long Term Guest Parking Area: All guests must park their cars in the designated pasture near the farm house area entrance. Guests may drive their cars to camp to unload and load belongings, however, they are not allowed to park their cars in the cabin area during their stay due to Fire Marshall regulations.

DEPOSITS, CANCELLATIONS, ADDITIONS, EARLY DEPARTURE/LATE ARRIVAL, BOOKING POLICIES 

Deposits: Space at family camp will be held after verbal acknowledgement so that an invoice for the stay can be sent. The balance for camp will be due and payable any time thereafter, but by 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. (Emailed via Stripe) $100 of the total will be non-refundable, no matter when the cancellation if it occurs.

Cancellations: We must receive all cancellation notices in writing (email works just fine). The following cancellation fees will apply based on the date of cancellation: 

  • Family Cabin Reservation Cancellation*:  After your final payment due date: no refund of your fee unless we can replace you.

  • Cancellation of Individual(s) from Family Cabin Reservation*:  Prior to your final payment due date: no charge.  After your final payment due date, but more than 14 days before your scheduled arrival: for each individual cancelled, refund of fee minus a $100 administrative charge 

  • 14 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival date: for each individual cancelled, no refund will be given for the individual’s fee.
    *Substitutions are allowed, restrictions apply. Please call us for details. 

  • Additions to Your Family Cabin Reservations
    You may add people to your cabin reservation if a.) your assigned cabin can accommodate the addition(s) AND b.) the overall guest count limit for your session has not been exceeded. Please contact us as early as possible if you wish to add people to your cabin reservation. 

  • Early Departure / Late Arrivals
    We do not offer rebates / pro-rated refunds for early departures or late arrivals.
    Booking Priorities  Priority is given to returning families who attended camp the previous summer and who return their completed reservation form and deposit on or before February 16. Reservation forms and deposits received AFTER February 16, are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The above priorities will not apply. 

Requests for cabin changes or session changes will be accommodated as availability permits.

The undersigned consent to the use of any pictures of its family camp reservation members for the purpose of advertising or promotion

I/We have read the Deposit, Payment and Cancellation information included with this reservation form, including the deposit and payment schedules and the cancellation, additions, early departure/late arrivals and booking priority policies. I/we also understand and agree to abide by all aforementioned terms and conditions. 

I/We the undersigned parents or guardians of minor campers listed on the reservation form agree that I/we are solely responsible for the supervision and safety of our children at all times during which they are attending Family Camp, except during those times when these children are participating, with prior approval, in a supervised activity offered by Emandal. I/We understand that I/we are responsible to escort our children to the designated meeting areas and that I/we are to be prompt when picking them up from these areas. I/we understand and agree to abide by all aforementioned terms and conditions.
