ArtStay Conditions of Enrollment and Cancellation Policy
Illegal Substances – Emandal prohibits any illegal substances on its property.
Smoking – Smoking of any kind is strongly discouraged. Emandal asks any guests who smoke to properly and safely dispose of butts in trash receptacles for aesthetic and fire safety reasons.
Alcohol – If you’d like to bring wine or beer or any other beverage to share during our “Sip and Dip Happy Hours,” we’d be more than happy!
Inherent Farm Risks - Emandal is a working farm and rustic camp. There are numerous associated inherent dangers and risks, such as poison oak, sharp rocks, biting insects, farm machinery, farm animals, wild animals, a river, rattlesnakes, etc. All guests must utilize common sense and follow appropriate safety precautions and Emandal policies to avoid injuries, including but not limited to abiding by all “off-limits” area designations and rules.
River: For swimming at own risk. The river is not posted, guarded, nor designated a safe area. No diving allowed.
Lake: For fishing only. Swimming is not allowed in the lake. The lake is not posted, guarded, nor designated a safe area.
Pets – No pets of any kind are allowed.
Food for Lunch/Ice Chest if Staying in Camp: Although we provide breakfast and dinner, we ask that you provide your own lunch. Farmhouse rooms have small refrigerators, but camp is camp… and one should bring a small ice chest for any perishable items. There is ice for re-filling.
Recycling, Garbage and Food Scrap Disposal: Emandal asks that all guests comply with its recycling, garbage and food scrap disposal procedures which are as follows:
Cabin and Farmhouse areas: All recyclable and non-recyclable, non-food items will be placed in designated bins.
Cabin, Dining Hall, Outdoor Eating areas: All food scraps will be deposited into the designated “pig buckets.”
Pack it In, Pack it Out: Emandal does not have handy garbage pick-up. Please limit the packaging/plastic/garbage you bring to the farm.
Emandal is not responsible for clothing or personal belongings lost or damaged.
Long Term Guest Parking Area: All guests must park their cars in the designated pasture near the farm house area entrance. Guests may drive their cars to camp to unload and load belongings, however, they are not allowed to park their cars in the cabin area during their stay due to Fire Marshall regulations.
