Workshop Title: Baskets from Nature with Louisa Lenz-Porter

Brief Workshop Description: Emandal is resplendent with basket making materials…. from wild grapevine and honeysuckle, to willow, tule, vinca, cattails, ivy, manzanita, dogwood, redbud…. to name just a few. Begin with a walk about the farm, to collect materials you’ll use to construct a sturdy, practical, beautiful work basket.

Levels of Experience: Ages 18 and up, beginners welcome

Additional Supplies Participants Must Bring to Workshop: Gloves, hat and a pair of sharp clippers.

Additional Supply Fee Payable to Instructor: 15.00 fee supply

Where else have you taught this workshop or a similar course? Louisa has been making baskets since before she worked here at Emandal, 30 years ago. She continues her craft today. She’s patient, easy to follow, clear in her directions.
